External Link: Tweet from Chicago airport: "Chicago O'Hare @bryncarey @jacks42483" Social media posts and television reports showed a large plume of black smoke coming from the Boeing 767. Passenger Sarah Ahmed told WLS-TV the plane was speeding down the runway when she heard an explosion and saw flames and black smoke. She said everyone on the right side of the aircraft jumped from their seats and moved to the left side. "People are yelling, 'Open the door! Open the door!' Everyone's screaming and jumping on top of each other to open the door," Ahmed said. "Within that time, I think it was seven seconds, there was now smoke in the plane and the fire is right up against the windows, and it's melting the windows." A video from the scene filmed by passenger Hector Gustavo Cardenas showed passengers scrambling for the exit and leaving via an inflatable slide, as smoke engulfed the body of the plane. The Chicago Fire Department tweeted that it was responding to the scene. A National Transportation Safety Board spokesman said the board was aware of the incident but had not made a decision on whether to investigate.

Do you or a friend of yours have a fear that makes you deathly afraid to even think of riding an airline? It happens. But in reality, aviation is actually pretty safe, because there’s only a one in eleven million chance that you’ll be involved in a plane crash. That does not mean it always is, of course. Here are ten scary plane incidents. 4.Swiss Air Flight 111 If you’re thinking of flying into or out of New York City, you might want to rethink that decision. Because it seems more and more as if the city is cursed when it comes to aviation mishaps. Swissair Flight 111 crashed into the Atlantic Ocean , southwest of Halifax International Airport around the area of NOva SCotia on September 2, 1998. It was an international flight out of New York City, bound for Geneva Switzerland. Sadly, all two hundred and fifty six on board were victims to the sea. It took four years and fifty seven million dollars to figure out the cause ot the tragic incident. Investigators of the Transportation Safety Board of Canada conclude that a fire occurred on board due to flammable liquids used in it’s structure. 3.Scary Collision The Tenerife airport disaster is one of if not THE world’s worst airplane incident to this very day. It occurred decades ago when two Boeing 747 passenger jets collided on the runway during a terrible miscommunication at the Los Rodeos Airport on the Spanish island of Tenerife, Canary Islands. Just how could such a terrible mishap occur? To start, environmental conditions were not in their prime for flying due to the elevation of the Los Rodeos airport region . Because it lies six hundred thirty three feet above sea level, the atmosphere is filled with abnormal cloud conditions. At times, the airport's ground runways are, quite literally, covered completely in clouds. The day of the incident, the clouds were extremely dense. But that is not the primary cause of the crash collision. Many large flights had be diverted to the smaller Los Rodeos airport earlier in the day due to a small bomb that had detonated at the Gran Canaria International Airport. Los Rodeos was no equip to deal with so many large planes on their runway, albeit they tried. Havoc struck when one of the jets, KLM flight 4805, thought it was in the clear for takeoff and taxi. However, the other jet involved, Pan-Am flight 1736, had some miscommunication issues with the air traffic tower on which runway to exit to. Investigations showed that the KLM flight had not properly followed total protocol that day, and five hundred eighty three crew member and passenger lives were lost as a result. The incident still serves as a warning sign for airplane safety rules to this very day. 2.Denver Close Call Nothing in the world sounds more terrifying than the idea of your plane’s engines catching on fire while you are ten thousand feet in the air, right?? This photo appears to be some time of ticking time bomb on when that plane is going to explode, but luckily that was not the case. This engine of a SkyWest passenger jet spontaneously burst aflame on the tarmac shortly after landing in Denver. And yes, there were still passengers inside! Emergency vehicles and crew swiftly reported to the sport, and the plane’s pilot helped to safely navigate all sixty three passengers off the jet safely. There has been no official word as to why the fire occurred. According to a United Airlines spokesperson, “After safely landing at Denver, SkyWest flight 5869, a CRJ700 operating as United Express from Aspen to Denver, experience engine issues”. Um, yeah, we’d say a spontaneous fire is an issue. 1.US Airways Flight 1549 Luckily, this airplane incident was not deadly. But it could be one of the most notable of all time. Not only because it was made into a full length film starring Tom Hanks, but because of the story of grand heroism behind it. Captain Chesley Sullenberger piloted his jet into the safety of the Hudson River on January 15, 2009 after it suffered complete engine failure. The failure was unexpected, of course, and was caused by a rogue flock of Canadian geese flying just northeast of the George Washington Bridge. Captain Sullenberger, lovingly nicknamed “Sully”, had to think quickly and tactfully through tall New York buildings with very little room for error. The former Air Force pilot was initially instructed to return back to the La Guardia Airport , but he had a hunch that the plane would not make it that far. His decision to continue to land the plane in the Hudson was risky, but it paid off. He told his flight crew to relay to passengers to “embrace for impact”,and the plane landing went smooth. After the crash landing, he helped to safely evacuate all passengers from the plane and onto the wings of the plane, which were floating on top of the freezing Hudson River. Captain Sully saved all one hundred and fifty five people that day. Pretty great.

Crazy illegal items, weapons and creatures withheld at airport security Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: david.f@valnetinc.com Description: For any of us that have flown in an airplane, we know that air travel is one of the biggest headaches known to man. In addition to the extraordinarily high ticket prices, most of us also have to pay a luggage fee, along with convenient upgrades, plus the overpriced airport food. And if you want to check a bag, you’re confined to numerous rules and restrictions to what you can and can’t bring. Of course, with all of the recent terrorist attacks and September 11th, many are skittish about the intentions of other passengers, so the Transportation Security Administration was created in 2001 in order to help secure the airways and ports in the United States. But despite the presence of the TSA, people will still try to smuggle in odd things that are not limited to, but including drugs, animals, bugs, plants, and more. For example, a woman was stopped in an airport in Melbourne when it was noticed that she was making strange and watery noises. Security then gave her a more detailed pat down and discovered that she have over 51 different kinds of exotic and tropical fish under her clothes in 15 little bags, stored in pockets. If that wasn’t bizarre enough, a total of eighteen severed heads were discovered in shipment at O’Hare in Chicago, which of course made the media go crazy with the headlines. It was later discovered that the heads were in the process of a legitimate shipment between medical facilities in Rome and Chicago. Talk about people losing their head over something that ended up being legitimate! While you’re on vacation, of course there is always that one souvenir that you can’t resist bringing home with you. One traveler was out scuba diving and discovered a coral-covered cannonball in the midst of an 18th century shipwreck. Even though the traveler’s intentions were purely innocent, the airport had to shut down and be evacuated, since cannonballs are considered to be explosives. Then of course people just have to fly with their animals and plants. One man was discovered to have brought 30 dead snakes that were venomous, from his trip to South Korea. Was he trying to bring home a souvenir? Or needed supplies to create a deadly poison? Then a woman was discovered to have packed a (sedated) 2 month old tiger cub in her suitcase. She was arrested and the cub was taken to a sanctuary for tigers. Speaking of animals, a man was also stopped in Los Angeles after an exotic bird flew from his suitcase. He also had 50 rare orchids as well as hid two monkeys in his pants. And of course, people will try to smuggle drugs in. One guy actually had a real broken legs and managed to create a cast made from eleven pounds of cocaine. He might have been able to have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for the additional cocaine that was found in his bag. --------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest --------------------------------------------------------------- Featuring: Dead Snakes 18 Severed Heads Cannonball Wheel of Pain 200 Tarantulas Tiger cub Cocaine cast Monkeys in man’s underwear Lipstick Stun Gun 51 Tropical fish --------------------------------------------------------------- Music Track: Automation --------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/

Horrifying Airplane and helicopter Crash Caught On Camera, Worst Aviation Disasters And Plane Crashes In History Lauda Air Flight 004 - 223 dead: On 26 May 1991 flight 004 from Bangkok to Vienna broke up in the air near the Burma-Thailand border after the thrust reverser on the left wing fired. Reports indicate that it’s subsequent dive could have exceeded mach 1 (the sound barrier). There were no survivors. China Airlines Flight 611 - 225 dead: On 25 May 2002 flight 611 from Taiwan to Hong Kong disintegrated mid flight due to faulty repairs 22 years earlier. Korean Air Flight 801 - 228 dead: Despite protests from the flight engineer that the captain was not detecting the correct signal for landing, he pressed on and guided flight 801 from Seoul, South Korea directly into the Guam mountainside leaving only 26 survivors. Air France Flight 447 - 228 dead: 1 June 2009 flight 447 disappeared on its way to Paris from Rio de Janeiro. Although the wreckage was found after 5 days the black box was recovered 2 years later. The cause was found to be an inappropriate pilot response to faulty air speed indicators due to bad weather conditions and ice. Swissair Flight 111 - 229 dead:On 2 September 1998 Swissair flight 111 from New York to Geneva crashed into the ocean just off of Nova Scotia due to a rapidly spreading cockpit fire. 9/11 flights:Although not a single air disaster, the four flights involved in 9/11 were responsible for the greatest single day loss of life in commercial aviation history. Two of the flights, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 each were responsible for thousands of casualties after being driven into the World Trade Centers and are considered the largest and second largest losses of life due to individual plane crashes in all of aviation history with 1700 and 1000 people killed respectively. Tenerife Airport Disaster - 583 dead: In terms of passengers and crew killed this collision between two Boeing 747s on the Spanish Island of Tenerife is considered the deadliest plane crash in history. Japan Airlines Flight 123 - 520 dead:On August 12, 1985 a flight from Tokyo to Osaka crashed into Mount Takamagahara leaving only 4 survivors. Charkhi Dadri mid-air collision - 349 dead: The deadliest mid-air collision in history, Saudi Arabian airlines and Kazakhstan airlines crashed just west of New Delhi killing everyone on both planes. An investigation found that once again a lack of English language skills on behalf of the Kazakh pilots was the primary cause. Ermenonville air disaster - 346 dead:After a Moroccan baggage handler was unable to read the proper latching instructions in either English or Turkish on Turkish airlines flight 981, the latch blew off mid flight as the plane crashed into Ermonville forest near Paris, France. Furthermore, the latches had a known design flaw. Air India Flight 182 - 329 dead:On the 23 of June, 1985 a bomb exploded onboard Air India Flight 182 as it was flying between London and Montreal. The plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Ireland. A Canadian Sikh militant group was responsible. Saudia Flight 163 - 301 dead:This flight from Rihadh to Jeddah caught fire shortly after takeoff. It turned around and made an emergency landing but everyone on board died of smoke inhalation before fire crews could get inside. The fire was started due to butane stoves used by Muslim pilgrims because of their strict dietary restrictions. Saudi Arabia has since banned the stoves but some people still smuggle them onboard to make tea. Iran Air Flight 655 - 290 dead: During the Iraq-Iran war on July 3, 1988 the USS Vincennes shot down Iran Air Flight 665 going between Tehran and Dubai due to confused communications. American Airlines Flight 191 - 273 dead:Just moments after takeoff the left engine of Flight 191 from Chicago to Los Angeles came off. The plane rolled, turned upside down and crashed into a field. A firefighter on the scene was quoted as saying that not a single complete body was found. Amateur photos of the crash sparked a media firestorm condemning the DC-10’s poor safety record.

From the Swissair Flight 111, to the Tenerife Airport Accident, these are the 11 Biggest Airplane Accidents ! Learn about the BIGGEST of everything Monday, Wednesday, and Friday just subscribe! # 7 American Airlines Flight 191 Just moments after the takeoff of Flight 191 on May 25, 1979, the plane barrel rolled and crashed into the ground. The left wing had engine malfunctioned, causing it to lift above the right wing and ultimately start rolling out of control. It crashed into an open field in Des Plaines, Illinois. The crash resulted in 273 deaths on board which include 2 victims on the ground. # 6 Korean Air Flight 801 On August 6, 1997, Korean Air Flight 801 crashed in the US territory of Guam killing 228 of the 254 passengers on board. The flight was scheduled August 5-6 to take a team of Guamanian athletes to the South Pacific Mini Games in American Samoa when it crashed. The flight was under the command of 42-year-old Captain Park Yong-Chul who was one of the most experienced and capable fliers in the industry. However, due to heavy rain affecting visibility, the plane landed three nautical miles short of a landing strip. The flight engineer warned the pilots that the airplane was not in sight despite beginning a steep descent slope. Eventually, the vessel would fly directly into the mountain resulting in a crash. # 5 TWA Flight 800 Trans World Airlines Flight 800, also known as TWA Flight 800 was a Boeing 747-100 that exploded in the middle of its flight and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near East Moriches, New York. It happened on July 17, 1996, at 8:31 PM, just 12 minutes after takeoff from JFK International Airport. Many believed that the explosion was caused by a terrorist attack that resulted in all 230 people on board dying. A four-year investigation concluded that the explosion wasn’t caused by terrorists, but rather an explosion of flammable fuel/air vapors in a fuel tank that may have been caused by a short circuit. However, conspiracy theories about the flight are pervasive as many don’t believe the inconclusive cause of the crash. # 4 Lauda Air flight 004 Lauda Air flight 004 was an international passenger flight that crashed on May 26th, 1991 due to an unintended deployment of a thrust reverse in the middle of the flight. The crash resulted in the death of 213 passengers and 10 of the onboard crew. The plane’s reverse thrusters deployed while traveling over the mountainous jungle area in Thailand. The crew did not take sufficient action when they received a warning that the thrusters had deployed and the plane fell into a diving left turn. # 3 Pan Am Flight 103 Lockerbie Bombing Pan Am Flight 103 was a normal scheduled flight on December 21st, 1998 from Frankfurt to Detroit but during the transatlantic leg of the route it was destroyed by a bomb and would be known as the Lockerbie Bombing. The plane crashed onto residential areas of Lockerbie Scotland and killing 11 people on the ground, and all 259 people on board including the crew. A three-year investigation revealed that two Libyan national were responsible for the bombing and that it was likely in collaboration with Muammar Gaddafi. # 2 1996 Air Africa Crash The 1996 Air Africa crash occurred on January 8th when an overloaded aircraft from Moscow Airways bound in for Kahemba Airport severely overshot the runway and plowed directly into the nearby street market. Four out of the 6 onboard crew members survived but the crash resulted in 225 fatalities and 253 serious injuries on the ground as a result of the plane plowing through. This is the largest number of non-passenger deaths as a result of an airplane crash in history. # 1 Tenerife Airport Disaster On March 27, 1977, two Boeing 747 passenger jets crashed together on the runway of Tenerife North Airport in Spain. A bomb explosion at Gran Canaria Airport with the threat of a second bomb caused many aircrafts to be diverted to the Tenerife North Airport. Two of these included the KLM Flight 4805 and Pan Am Flight 1736 which crashed together at the airport when traffic controllers were forced to park several planes on the runway. Then a dense fog formed and combined with everything else resulted in the crash. The total fatalities include 583 and 61 injuries.
